The weather station used here is a Generic brand, model WH1081. These are now available from places like ebay for ~ $125 AUD. If you have an interest in the weather in your part of the world, then these are a great way to monitor your local conditions and let family and friends and indeed the world know what the weather is doing at your place 24/7.
The WH1081 is connected via USB to an Asus eeePC Laptop that serves up the Weather data to the internet, to display it here on this webpage. The weather data is updated about every 10 minutes. The meteorological day used at this station ends at 9 am.The Weather Station predicts today should be: "Settled fine" - however, this is barometer based and is of a very general nature.
Please note that the rain reading is not accurate, it is false triggered by the support pole shaking in very strong winds...I'll fix it later!
